Good morning RE Catechists and Families!
As I am sure you know, the Catholic schools are once again closed. Consequently, RE Classes for today are off.
This poses a few problems. First, that this was to be the last class before our 8th grade Confirmation next week, so they are not getting a chance to have some final preparation before the big day.
Secondly, according to the calendar we are off for the next three weeks because of Confirmation and spring breaks. That will put us at six weeks in a row without class between weather and breaks. That is a lot. I'm going to go over some options for getting caught up with the Catechists. The priority is making sure that our students are receiving the formation that they should be getting this year. More to come on that shortly.
To our 8th grade families: Please take time to have your candidates review your Chosen book in preparation for Confirmation. Also, please make a serious effort to attend classes even after Confirmation. Confirmation is not the same as graduation. The end of the year is in May, and there is plenty more to receive and learn about the faith even after Confirmation.
God Bless! Stay warm!
