* Alpha - open to all adults - starting Jan 7, weekly until March 25. This faith formation opportunity is one of our highest attended and most impactful. Sign up below - bring friends!
* Rosary every week - 6:30-6:45. Feel free to walk into the church even if we have already started - no need to wait outside! Also, if any parents, grandparents, guardians are interested in leading the rosary, let me know - would love to have you.
* Our Fall Parish Mission - Tuesdays and Fridays, 7:30-8:30 in the Trinity Rooms. Open to teens and adults, age 13+. Would love to see some Religious Ed parents and families attend!

OCTOBER IS PRO-LIFE MONTH
The Omaha Urban Council of Catholic Women is joining Spirit Catholic Radio for the 4th year in a Diaper Drive to help fill the shelves of our Omaha Archdiocesan Pro-Life organizations. This is one way to support women in choosing “Life” and providing for their baby’s needs.
Our Mary Our Queen /St. John Vianney Parishes are supporting this effort by collecting monetary donations that will be used for the purchase of these needed items and distributing them throughout our community. Donations can be sent to:

1st Grade (Catechesis of the Good Shepard - CGS)

We are looking for volunteers to help in the 1st grade atrium on Wednesday nights. Please email kpeklo@moqchurch.org if interested. It would be great to get multiple volunteers if possible.

1st Communion Dress Code Details - some of you may be planning ahead, here are the details:
Boys - Dress pants, dress shirt, dress shoes. Suit and/or tie is optional, but preferred.
Girls - White dress, shoes, tights. No gloves during ceremony, please. Veils optional.

Last week, Mrs. Lypaczewski brought her own baptism gown to show the class. It was made from her mother's wedding dress - beautiful!

Just a reminder that you received confirmation packets last year - many due dates are included in that packet, so please refer to that often. Also, we will have extra copies printed over the next couple weeks available in class if you need one. There is also a copy below if you would like to reference it.
Dress Code for Confirmation Details - some of you may be planning ahead, here are the details:
Boys - Dress pants w/ a belt, dress shirt tucked in, dress shoes w/ dark socks. Suit and/or tie is optional, but encouraged.
Girls - Dresses must be modest, appropriate for this sacrament. I know this can be tough to find, but please make sure: shoulders, backs, stomachs are covered, nothing too short (should be at the knee or longer) or too low cut across the chest (no cleavage showing).
