The Hallow app is offering a wonderful free Advent Series that started on Dec 1, but you can join any time. There is one for adults and one for kids - it's a fantastic way to grow closer to our Lord. You are invited to join our parish communities on Hallow! There is a free version or a paid version that offers more options. To join:

Cool Catholic Things...
Our Lady of Guadalupe is the title for the Virgin Mary after her apparitions to St. Juan Diego in Mexico in 1531, becoming a powerful symbol of faith, Mexican culture, and the Patroness of the Americas, known for the miraculous image imprinted on his cloak (tilma) which combined Aztec and Catholic imagery, convincing the bishop to build a chapel and leading to mass conversions.
The Blessed Mother appeared four times to St. Juan Diego asking for a church to be built in her honor. The last time she appeared to him, on December 12, 1531, she arranged roses in his tilma, which he then took to the bishop. When he opened his cloak, the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was miraculously present on the tilma.
We therefore celebrate the Feast day of Our Lady under the title of Guadalupe on December 12. It is preceded on December 9 by the Feast of St. Juan Diego, who was canonized in 2002 by Pope St. John Paul II.

1st Communion Parent Sessions - the Jan 6 session has been cancelled. The sessions will be on two Sundays - Feb 15 and March 22, 10-11 am (between masses). Thank you!

1st Communion Dress Code Details - some of you may be planning ahead, here are the details:
Boys - Dress pants, dress shirt, dress shoes. Suit and/or tie is optional, but preferred.
Girls - White dress, shoes, tights. No gloves during ceremony, please. Veils optional.

Just a reminder that you received confirmation packets last year - many due dates are included in that packet, so please refer to that often. Also, we have extra copies if you need one. There is also a copy below if you would like to reference it.
Dress Code for Confirmation Details - some of you may be planning ahead, here are the details:
Boys - Dress pants w/ a belt, dress shirt tucked in, dress shoes w/ dark socks. Suit and/or tie is optional, but encouraged.
Girls - Dresses must be modest, appropriate for this sacrament. I know this can be tough to find, but please make sure: shoulders, backs, stomachs are covered, nothing too short (should be at the knee or longer) or too low cut across the chest (no cleavage showing).
